Born and raised in Alaska, I find deep meaning in exploring the many landscapes of the world—both geographic and emotional—and in embracing diverse ways of being. I am grounded by the beauty of nature and deeply moved by the power of human connection. My professional background includes offering a wide range of recovery services including group facilitation, recovery-oriented yoga, individual therapy, substance use education, event planning, program development and spiritual development. After completing my higher education in Oregon and Georgia, my path brought me home to Alaska, where I’ve worked as a community mental health clinician, in macro-level social work settings, and now in private practice. As a Western-trained psychotherapist, I am committed to the ongoing work of decolonizing psychotherapy. I recognize that traditional mental health models have historically excluded or pathologized Indigenous and ancestral ways of healing. My practice is rooted in the belief that true healing must honor cultural wisdom, community, and the lived experiences of those historically marginalized by Western systems. I incorporate ancient healing practices—such as mindfulness, energy work, spirituality, breathwork (pranayama), and somatic awareness—through a lens of cultural appreciation, always seeking to engage with these traditions respectfully and responsibly. I specialize in working with feminine-identifying intuitive mystics who are exploring how trauma may manifest in their lives through substance use, disordered eating, depression, anxiety, and codependency. My work is grounded in social justice, empowerment, and the belief that healing is a deeply personal and sacred journey. With lived experience of life’s complexities—its grief and awakenings—I offer a therapeutic relationship that normalizes struggle, celebrates growth, and holds space for authenticity. I walk alongside my clients with compassion and reverence, holding the light as they courageously take each step on their path. I am in network with Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alaska, so I bill them directly. For all other insurance carriers I will provide a super bill that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement based on your plan. Credit card payments are taken at time of service based on co-pay/co-insurance or self-pay status. I want to acknowledge the harm caused to the original inhabitants of this land, the Aaku' Kwaan and Taku' Kwaan people, and offer my deepest condolences for the insurmountable loss that these tribes experienced. It is my hope that as an individual and as a community we can right these wrongdoings and to move compassionately forward, together, and do our best to prevent future harm.
