My name is Myoshi North, I am a Mobile-Based Clinical Mental Health Counselor. As a Helping Professional my passion is to help individuals overcome emotional barriers to restore a health mindset, healthy self-image, and restore relationships. Myoshi is an Army Veteran with a Specialization in Military families & Culture. Myoshi holds a Bachelors in Psychology, and a Master’s in Justice Administration. Myoshi is a member of the American Psychology Association, American Counseling Association, Chi Sigma Iota International/Professional Academic Honor Society, and The National Society of Leadership and Success. Prior to her academic accomplishments, Myoshi has volunteered her services to the Army Morale, Welfare, and Recreation agency along with The Military Family Readiness Program. Myoshi’s goals and aspirations are to create a space for clients to trust their intuitions, rise above negative influences and aim for the positive. Myoshi held an investigative position in Child Protective Services for the Alabama Department of Human Services where she collaborated with Baldwin County /Mobile County District Attorney, Baldwin County/Mobile County Child Advocacy Center, and Law Enforcement Agencies. Myoshi creates a space of understanding, collaboration, compassion, and a safe environment for clients. Myoshi’s goal is to help clients obtain appropriate tools to address their concerns, balancing emotional experiences, feel empowered and have self-awareness. Myoshi aspires to provide Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy by way of Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
