When working with me, you will have 45 minutes that are completely dedicated to you. I pride myself in curating a safe, honest, empathetic and trusting therapeutic relationship with my clients. I try to make my clients feel as if every part of them is welcome into the room. I also work in tandem with my clients to ensure we create healthy boundaries within our therapeutic relationship. I have experience working with the BIPOC and LGBTQIA communities. Through the use of individuals, groups or couples therapy, I assist clients with mitigating the myriad life experiences that are brought into the room. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, substance use disorders and life transitions by applying somatic, psychodynamic, person-centered, trauma-based, and relational therapeutic approaches. I have experience working within the child welfare system and have provided college access to under privileged youth. I also ran a youth group geared toward creative expression through music. I am dedicated to assisting clients with navigating transitional life phases through mitigating, processing and learning to live with complex trauma. Each person comes to therapy for different reasons. I use an integrative approach to ensure that my clients' needs are being met during the session. I utilize treatment modalities that best support clients with their personal therapeutic and healing goals. I started my undergraduate journey studying Musical Theater and later switched my concentration to Sociology and received my degree from Brooklyn College. I received my Masters In Clinical Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at CUNY Hunter College. I’m a born and raised New Yorker. When I’m not helping clients you can find me binge watching Grey’s Anatomy, getting together with friends for a seafood boil or singing at open mic nights. Speaking of music, one of my favorite techniques as a therapist is having my clients identify a song that is the perfect metaphor for whatever situation they’re in.
