It isn't easy to find a therapist that you feel comfortable and safe with. You know that you have to open up and be vulnerable, but the person sitting in front of you is going to be a total stranger, and even worse, you know they are going to ask some questions that you would rather ignore. While we want to feel safe in therapy, we also want help with our struggles, and often times these two goals feel like they are at odds, which can fill us with a sense of building dread. Finding a therapist can take courage, but when we find someone that makes us feel heard and accepted, we are then able to begin the journey of exploring our own story and working towards our goal of healing. I work from a biblical perspective to employ my therapeutic training in order to balance your need to be heard and accepted with your need for positive growth and change.
