My approach to therapy is informed by attachment theory, choice theory, family systems, and the wellness model - a holistic approach to health that includes mental and emotional health, and also your physical, social, occupational, and spiritual needs. Through a trauma-informed, whole person lens, I strive to create a safe space for meaningful exploration and lasting change. INDIVIDUALS The relationship you have with yourself is the most intimate relationship you will ever have. Throughout our sessions together, I will empower you with tools that can help you create a strong, authentic, secure relationship with yourself as well as others. Many individuals I work with struggle with self-trust or self-esteem, relationship issues, emotional regulation, or feelings of isolation and loneliness. Let’s work together to mindfully and compassionately help you move through life's challenges. I work with individual adults and teens of all ages, genders, orientations, and backgrounds. COUPLES I am very passionate about the impact relationships have on one’s life, health, and happiness. Specializing in couples therapy, I take a direct yet compassionate approach, challenging you to take necessary steps to grow with your partner. Most of my couples have difficulty with trust or codependency, consider themselves high-conflict or avoid conflict altogether, desire better communication, or find themselves looking for support during difficult life transitions. I aim to provide a framework in which more connection, understanding, and authentic intimacy can be created and experienced. I have experience with neurodivergence and am poly- and ENM-affirming. FAMILIES As homes grow in maturity, age, and numbers, families are always changing. Whether you are welcoming a new baby into your lives, graduating a teen out of the house, blending your families together, or separating them into smaller units, I can help you incorporate new ideas, meaning, or structure into your family system. Outside of therapy, I have experience working with families as a nanny for 5 years and with kids in various (coaching, teaching) roles for 10+ years - a reason I also love working with parents and co-parents, especially for ages 0-5 and teenagers.
