My name is Mya Hooks and I use she/her pronouns. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate (LMFTA) in North Carolina. I have a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Appalachian State University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wingate University. In the past five years I have gained significant experience working with college students with anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I know how hard it can be transitioning from one stage of life to the next, so navigating life transitions has been a major part of the work I have done in supporting individuals. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, I work with families and couples struggling with communication issues, problem solving, improving relationship with their partner and/or with other family members including children.
