Monique L Simmons is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and author who attended Governors State University where she obtained her Master's degree in Social Work. Monique has over 12 years experience working in mental health from being a life coach in underserved communities, mentoring adolescents who were placed in foster care, providing therapy in group and individual settings and working with individuals who were convicted but allowed to be rehabilitated in the community. Monique's work does not stop there, she is a public speaker, addressing mental illness from a spiritual standpoint and using the word God as part of the healing journey. Monique is the founder and creator of Faith is Key where she creates a platform to testify about the goodness of the Lord and the importance of seeking salvation. Monique's primary approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in efforts to aid in remapping one's thoughts with how they respond to them. Monique does not force her beliefs on others but provides a safe space for clients to add their values in treatment.
