Monique Proto

Monique Proto is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Clinical Licensed Art Therapist (CLAT). She also has a certification in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), specifically developed to assist individuals who have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and a certification from the National Acupuncture Detox Association (NADA) to perform the 5-point protocol to treat trauma, substance misuse and abuse, and mental health conditions. Monique has worked in the fields of psychiatric and addiction services as a manager and direct care provider to include all levels of care: Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and Outpatient care. She has experience running groups and individual sessions with both children and adults. Monique treats individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety/OCD, addiction, ADHD and those who have had traumatic experiences. She uses a holistic approach that is compassionate and challenging. Monique enjoys time with her family, baking, and getting outdoors in her free time. She takes a holistic, person-centered approach to helping people navigate the ups and downs of their lives. She is currently accepting new (adult) clients and would love to meet you! In her spare time she enjoys reading, spending time with her family and dog, and watching true crime. Christine accepts Anthem, Aetna, Husky (Connecticut Medicaid) and self-pay.
