Monique has a Christian worldview, which helps guide her pursuit to reach people who are ready to move toward greater health and healing. She offers counseling and neurofeedback services. She works with most diagnoses including depression, anxiety, and trauma. She has additional training in substance use disorders, couples, and working with marginalized populations. She uses a broad range of interventions, tailored to meet the needs of each client. Monique is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Idaho (ID-7321), a National Board-Certified Counselor, and a Board-Certified TeleMental Health Provider. Monique uses a blend of theoretical orientations, incorporating elements from person-centered, gestalt, and internal family system theories. She is a counselor, educator, leader, and advocate for the counseling profession. She works with individuals, couples, families, and groups across the lifespan. She provides competent, ethical, and effective care in the treatment of most mental health diagnoses. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in the Counselor Education and Supervision program at Liberty University. Her research interests include supervision and creativity in addiction and multicultural considerations in counseling. She is an Adjunct Professor at Northwest Nazarene University (NNU). She currently serves as President-Elect on the board of the Idaho Association for Addiction Professionals. She graduated from NNU with a Master of Science in Counseling, Marriage, Couples, and Families, with an emphasis in Addictions. She received her undergraduate degree in English Literature, with an Addictions emphasis from Boise State University. She served as an NBCC Minority Fellow in Master’s Addictions Counseling, in which she researched the strengths of minority couples in recovery. Monique is the owner of Ever Forward Counseling x Neurofeedback, located in Garden City, Idaho. She is currently receiving supervision toward her clinical license from Brian Smith, LCPC (ID-6635).
