Before going in to counseling I worked in the medical field as a nurse for over 8 years. I decided I wanted to help individuals in a different way so I returned to college graduated with a Master's Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Mental Health Counseling. I was in the field for a few years before returning to complete my terminal degree in Clinical Psychology. I have worked in all different types of setting, detox, residential treatment centers, psychiatrist centers, outpatient and private practice. I focus on trauma, mental health, relationships, self esteem, anger and finding your authentic self. I am trained in EMDR and completing my certification in Cognitive Behavioral therapy with the Beck Institute.
