Introduction

I am an integrative psychotherapist specializing in trauma, anxiety, depression, substance abuse and addiction issues, body-image issues, and adult children of alcoholics and dysfunctional families. I have also worked extensively with the emerging or young adult and student population, as well as young professionals. I am a Certified Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist. I also utilize Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Pyschotherapy (AEDP), and Somatic Experiencing (SE) modalities. I take an attachment-focused, psychodynamic, strengths-based approach to working with clients. I am trained in EMDR, CRM, AEDP, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing and CBT, modalities that are rooted in evidence-based-science, the neuroscience of the mind-body connection, and are also relational. I am also a Kundalini Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist. I work collaboratively with each client to identify goals for change and well-being and believe everyone is capable of living fulfilled, meaningful and connected lives. My approach is client-centered, affirmative, and non-judgmental. I recognize the importance of treating the whole person, body, mind, and spirit within their cultural context and systems. I acknowledge the deep wisdom and natural self-healing capacities of the individual. A long-time New Yorker, I have also lived and studied Internationally and most recently in Washington DC. I am a two-time graduate of New York University, earning my Master’s degree from Silver School of Social Work and my Bachelor’s in Fine Arts.
