Introduction

Hi! I’m Mitzi and I’m glad you’re here. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in walking with children and families through their journey to emotional healing. I am passionate about creating a safe and authentic space for others to heal, develop, and learn skills to fully live. I’ve worked in many settings including foster care, community mental health, school based counseling, and years of international orphan care in Zambia, Africa. One of the most important things to know is that I am a follower of Jesus and that informs my worldview. This does not, however, disqualify any person, issue, or religion from receiving professional therapeutic services. The spiritual component can be integrated into any service per client request. I'm a wife and mom of 7 (birth and adopted) amazing kids. I can often be found on the sidelines of a field cheering them on or in a pick up line (can I get an Amen?). I enjoy sports, traveling, drinking tea in the early evening, writing, and letting my feet hit the African dirt as much as possible!
