Introduction

Mirielle Ranade is a graduate student with Northwestern University pursuing a Master of Arts in Counseling. She is currently placed as a clinical trainee with Upshur Bren Psychology Group under the supervision of Dr. Kate Cuno. Prior to Northwestern, Mirielle studied Humanistic and Gestalt Therapy with the Gestalt Centre in London, England, and has additional experience in grief work as a former volunteer with the grief community The Dinner Party. As a mother of two young children, Mirielle is passionate about supporting women and young parents through the many stages of parenthood and has chosen to focus her graduate studies on perinatal and maternal mental health. She aims to bring Gestalt’s creativity and imagination to her work with clients, creating brave and affirming spaces for self-reflection and supporting individuals in building greater self-awareness through a mind-body connection. Mirielle received her undergraduate degree in Journalism from Northwestern University and brings more than a decade of professional experience in communications and public policy before transitioning to a second career in counseling. She welcomes clients who are dealing with challenges related to life transitions, parenthood, loss and grief, and identity development, including gender, sexuality and race.
