It is my personal goal to remove statements like "black women are strong" and "don't cry" from the cue cards of our life! As women of color, there are pressures and expectations that come from the intersectionalities of who we are. I thrive in providing a comforting and warm space for women of color to be only one thing: themselves. I desire the opportunity to support women in delving into their emotions and openly processing the results of life transitions in a healthy and appropriate way. I specialize in supporting women of color through major life transitions, which are leading to feelings of grief, anxiety, and symptoms of depression, through individualized application of mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, self-esteem development, and anger management techniques. However, the beauty of people is that no two are ever the same, so I have an integrative and holistic approach to my therapy practice that utilizes portions of these interventions to best meet your specific needs. I hope to support women of color in reaching a place of peace and positive well-being by working together to develop self-Love, self-Acceptance, and Confidence in taking on life!
