My name is Millie Reeves Davis and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for helping individuals navigate through life's challenges. I hold an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University of New Orleans. With a decade of experience in the mental health field, I have developed a strong background in working with clients who are struggling with relationship issues, life transitions, grief, substance use issues, anxiety, and depression. My approach to therapy is centered around creating a welcoming and safe environment where clients can work towards their goals and process the challenges they are facing. I am empathetic and caring, and I strive to meet my clients where they are at, while providing therapeutic interventions to help them cope with life. Some of the techniques I use in my practice include cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused techniques, and family systems. I specialize in helping couples improve their communication and navigate stressful situations, as well as providing insight and support for individuals and families dealing with substance use issues. Additionally, I have extensive experience working with college-age students as they transition to school and navigate general life challenges. I believe that therapy should feel as natural as possible, and I give my clients the freedom to guide the intensity of the session based on their comfort level. Taking the step to seek therapy can be difficult, and I commend anyone for taking that step. I offer a 15-minute phone consultation to see if we are a good fit for one another, and I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your journey towards healing and growth. Currently, my self-pay rate is $150 per session for individuals and couples, but I do offer a sliding scale. Additionally, I am in-network with several insurance providers, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, Optum, United HealthCare, and The Care Network.
