I am a bilingual Spanish speaking Licensed Independent Mental Health Therapist (LIMHP) in Nebraska, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha where I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Biology; and the University of Nebraska at Omaha where I earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I now have the honor to be an adjunct professor at the program I received my masters degree. I have the honor to be one the few Latinos to teach in the counseling department at UNO. In Nebraska i've had the privilege to work for non-profit organizations in Omaha and in a dual diagnosis clinic in Grand Island. I’ve also had the opportunity to be a board member of various nonprofit organizations in Nebraska advocating for the Latine community and for equitable mental health. I have experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults. I have extensive experience working with trauma and intergenerational trauma. I also have experience working with substance use and co-occurring diagnosis. I believe my background as a first generation U.S. born and growing up with parents from Guatemala and El Salvador helps me understand the Latine and the BIPOC community in a unique way. I provide decolonized therapy, client centered therapy, EMDR therapy, and mostly work as an eclectic psychotherapist. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to text or email me! I hope I can be a good fit for your mental health needs. https://player.vimeo.com/video/929122377
