Michelle Tanner LPC (VA, WV, MD) has been working in the human services field for over 19 years, assisting adults and teens struggling with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, stress management, anger management, grief and loss, chronic illness, behavioral issues, emotional issues, job burnout, and exploring life choices. She has also supervised other clinicians and provides counseling to professionals in the helping fields (counseling, social work, nursing, etc.) that may experience high levels of stress and burnout. Michelle utilizes Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Skills, Polyvagal Informed, and Trauma Informed Therapy, along with creative interventions in order to provide individualized counseling services and support to improve clients’ quality of life. She believes that everyone, no matter what struggles they may have, deserve to have access to services so they can work toward their personal goals in this life.
