If I do my job well, I should put myself out of business. My goal is to teach you everything that I know about anxiety so that you can feel confident and be successful in navigating it on your own! I enjoy working with couples to repair past hurts, learn communication skills to navigate future stressors, and deepen their connection. And I love working with anxiety because I understand firsthand how defeating anxiety can feel, but also know how treatable it can be! My style is warm and I have a sense of humor, but I'm also going to ask you questions. My goal is to push you past where you think you can go, so that you can build the confidence to continue growing yourself. Usually I recommend meeting once per week to get started so that you can establish a rapport with me and also so that you can gain momentum in the changes you want to make. Kind of like if you were to go to the gym. You would probably see more results if you went once a week for a while instead of starting with biweekly or monthly, and you likely would stick with it long enough to see change. After that initial phase I usually recommend moving to biweekly or less.
