Introduction

Often when we have experienced trauma or emotional pain we learn to hide parts of ourselves as a form of protection. This coping mechanism, while effective, can cause us to seek out patterns in our lives that leave us feeling anxious, dissatisfied or just simply "stuck." Thus as an attempt to avoid these feelings, we might to consume ourselves with a desire to be "perfect" or repeatedly find ourselves in unhealthy relationships as a way to "mask" the pain we have experienced. However, you do not have to suffer this way forever. Through therapy, we can help you break free of these patterns and begin to heal! My approach to counseling is simple. I believe that real heal healing begins when we can be seen for who we truly are and thus able to determine ways of being that are aligned with our values. My ultimate goal is to provide clients with compassion, empathy and understanding, so that we can work together to discover the most authentic version of you!
