Becoming a therapist for individuals and relationships is actually my third career - previously I worked in education, and before that, in entertainment. These three careers add up to working well with "Type A" people with anxiety and their loved ones - helping to tell the story of the relationship, learn from it, and figure out what the next chapter should look like to get a happier ending. My style is curious, pragmatic, affirming and nonjudgmental. I focus on helping you understand what you want and why you want it, where you do and don't have control over your life, and how that understanding can lead to better choices. We might use Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Master Conflict Theory, always taking your lead to figure out what works best for you. If you'd like to schedule an appointment with me, please drop me a line and let me know when would be best to give you a call.
