I believe that change is possible, in any situation and at any life stage. Bringing forth meaningful change requires both curiosity and courage. I will begin our working partnership by deeply listening, seeking to understand the events and circumstances that have shaped your experience of the current moment. Together, we bear witness to both your struggles and strengths. Supported by someone who really understands your dilemma, you can start to orient toward change. As improvements begin to unfold, you will begin to experience glimmers of hope. This gives you the strength to keep moving with purpose toward a full, rich life. I am a licensed clinical social worker and a therapist and counselor with more than 10 years’ experience working with adolescents and adults on issues such as anxiety and panic, depression, relational trauma, OCD, abuse, and loss and grief in its many forms. I also have done extensive work with individuals who are at a crossroads, looking to set a new direction in life and are experiencing uncertainty and self-doubt in the transition. I have a passionate commitment to activism, advocacy, and all issues relating to social justice, and work on an ongoing basis to act as an ally to the LGBTQ+ community. I believe in the principles of restorative justice, and affirm that criminal justice reform is a cornerstone of a truly free and just society. I critically examine my own perspectives for the ways in which they may contain vestiges of the toxic and destructive forces of racism, colorism, sexism, classism, heteronormativity, and transphobia.
