Introduction

I am a licensed counselor in private practice in Waco, TX and am able to serve clients across Texas. Sessions are available both in-person & virtually. I have an extensive background in treating trauma (25+ yrs) and am trained in multiple treatment methods. I have a special interest in the work of integrating trauma, fostering a healthy & whole sense of self, exploring how attachment affects our relationships & well-being throughout our lifetime as well as working with those experiencing stress related to caring for others, including parenting. We can love & support others best from a foundation of our own healthy sense of self, boundaries & taking care of our own needs. When life gets challenging, as it does for everyone at times, humans are not meant to suffer alone; we are designed to turn to caring others who can support & co-regulate with us, especially in times of stress, pain or discomfort. Therapy is a wise way of giving yourself healthy self-care, and I look forward to coming alongside you & being part of your "village" as you make sense of your experiences and learn more about yourself. I am currently only accepting private pay clients. On request, I can provide you with paperwork to submit to your insurer. I am happy to offer a brief consultation at no cost so that we can talk about your particular needs & whether we might be a good fit to work together. https://www.psychologytoday.com/profile/1044346 Secure email: https://sendsafe.to/michelledavislpc@gmail.com License # 16172.
