For me .... long before I was a therapist, I had strong values related to the power of relationships and the importance of serving the community. I am an attentive active listener, I am observant and supportive to the mission at hand, and the strengths of those carrying that mission out. This has been my role in my family, my community, in the systems I have administrated, and in the treatment rooms alongside my therapy clients. Regardless of who you are or where you have come from, I believe that everyone deserves a solid chance- the opportunity to determine their own truth, and to experience the quality of life lived when one seeks to find the best version of themselves. I started my college education thinking I wanted to be an educator. I quickly realized that what I was actually yearning for was a deeper connection with people… to be part of their process by helping to facilitate a journey of exploration and self-discovery. Life events and strong collegial connections lead me to operate as a direct practitioner and clinical leader in a variety of mental health settings including residential treatment, the inpatient hospital setting, and finally the outpatient mental health clinic setting. I received extensive support, training, and mentorship that transitioned me naturally and effectively into senior leadership roles in the mental health treatment realm. Operating in that “macro” capacity, was rewarding to be able to strongly influence the clinical treatment provided, and the way patients/clients are actually TREATED. I will forever cherish the years I have spent team building in the form of recruiting superior clinical talent and providing these therapists on-going training and support in order to build and sustain healthy agency culture, and high quality mental health service provision. Currently within this most recent phase of my professional journey, I feel so inspired and fortunate to be able to provide leadership and direct clinical care for Evo-Life. I am a certified Trauma Informed Care Provider, and the Evo-Life mission exactly captures the client centered, individualized, and trauma informed treatment approaches that I stand by. Our private model enables us to exert complete quality control over our practice standards and provide unique and customized approaches to mental health and wellness. Viewing clinical work through trauma informed lenses means that I can be strong and holding for my clients amidst the most difficult conversations. This type of strength and confidence in a provider renders individuals more comfortable and secure in the treatment process, and in my observable experience, yields for them superior treatment outcomes. I'm drawn to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques, attachment and family systems theories. Although I have experience working with a wide range of diagnoses and ages... I am most drawn to work with adults and young adults grappling with depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and grief and loss themes. I am so excited to get to meet you and work with you on your personal growth and healing journey.
