Michele Maas, LPCC-S Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Supervisor Michele Maas is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor licensed by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist Board. She has a Bachelor's of Art in Psychology and a Master's of Art in Counseling and Human Development, both from Walsh University. Michele has been a clinical counselor for over 25 years. Michele began her counseling career as one of the original members of the CARE Team at Alliance Middle School, working as a school-based therapist for Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health. She also worked as a school-based therapist in Akron with Pastoral Counseling Service, providing individual and group therapy to at-risk adolescents for 10 years. Michele was also a clinical supervisor who supervised a team of school-based clinicians. Additionally, Michele enjoys teaching and provides professional development to organizations in the community on topics such as Health and Wellness, LGBTQ+ Sensitivity, Trauma-Informed Teaching and many others. She also provides Supervision training for Counselor Trainees who are working towards being independently licensed.
