Welcome! I am a psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience in private practice and as a clinical supervisor. I work with individuals (children, teens and adults) and families. I treat depression, mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD and other childhood issues. My specialties include: children and teens with emotional, behavioral and school challenges, parents needing support and guidance, counseling around infertility and family building options including assisted reproduction and adoption, grief counseling with special focus on miscarriage, infant and child loss and managing life's expected and unexpected transitions. I believe the goal and reward of therapy is to be free of excessive emotional pain, to better manage life's stressors and gain the skills necessary to achieve these. I use a variety of approaches and techniques tailored to your individual needs. My style is supportive, relational, insight-oriented and solution-focused. I am an LCSW, Certified Grief Counselor and Founder of The Family Building Support Center, LLC. Prior to private practice, I was the Associate Clinical Director at The Fifth Avenue Counseling Center, a community mental health center in NYC. I also provided counseling after the 9-11 attack. Prior to my clinical work, I was a broadcast news journalist.
