Hello! Welcome. Something about me: I have lived in Austin since 1996 and have worked in several facets of the mental health field over the past 30 years. I received my state license in 2002 and began private practice in 2018. About my practice: The primary foundation of my practice is rooted theoretically in Systems Theory, which basically views how people interact and influence each other and how that affects choices we make throughout life. I draw from life experiences, specifically those involving my faith journey. I feel called to serve individuals, couples and families primarily within a biblical framework. However, no matter where you are in your faith journey, I am willing to meet you there and work with you to navigate whatever you may be experiencing in your own walk. I have worked with many who are not currently of any particular faith, or may be exploring deeper the role faith plays in their lives. I offer my experience - what I've learned both personally and professionally - in hope that together we can determine what is needed to help you reach your goals. Additional services offered include pre-marital counseling, whether you are planning your first marriage or considering re-marriage. These situations often involve blended families as well. This is a vital aspect that requires realistic expectations, effective communication and understanding the dynamics involved. Separation and divorce may also enter into the picture, either directly or indirectly. I would be honored to walk with you through these challenges as well and to help you discover not only how to survive but to thrive as you navigate what may be unknown territory.
