Michael began his counseling career after graduating from Fort Hays State University with an M.S. in Clinical Psychology. After several years of training in therapeutic interventions, diagnostics, and psychological testing he successfully completed the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP) to become a Licensed Master-Level Psychologist in the State of Kansas in 2014. Recently, he chose to expand his practice and obtained the Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor license in the State of Illinois. Michael works with all genders across the lifespan providing traditional therapy and psychological testing. His experience includes but is not limited to working with young children through play therapy, family systems, adolescent conduct disorders, substance use disorders, ADHD, adult life transitions, depression, anxiety, and other mental health disorders. He enjoys utilizing Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) interventions to address chronic pain, anxiety, and stress. He prefers to take an eclectic approach to therapy implementing several theoretical modalities to best suit the uniqueness of each client.
