Introduction

I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, and my passion is helping people build happier, more fulfilling lives. In therapy, my goal is to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can feel supported, while also gently challenging the areas that may be holding you back, so you can achieve the positive change that you want for your life. I became a therapist because I love seeing the power of change. There is no better experience than realizing you helped someone else with a problem they have. And I feel so privileged and honored to have others trust me enough to share intimate aspects of their lives to work towards that change. I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marquette University, with a specialization in Addictions Counseling. Since then, I’ve worked in various mental health settings, supporting individuals from all walks of life, including children, teens, adults, people with substance use challenges, unhoused populations, recent immigrants, the formerly incarcerated, and university students. I have a lot of experience in areas like trauma, substance abuse, childhood and adolescent abuse, men’s issues, and cultural identity, especially with Hispanic/Latino, bicultural, and multiracial individuals. I’ve also provided therapy in Spanish in the past and am happy to incorporate it into sessions when needed, though my current focus is primarily English-based therapy. When I’m not working, I live in the Chicagoland area with my family. I have a beautiful wife, a baby daughter who keeps me on my toes, and two cats who help keep things interesting! I’m also a co-host on a YouTube channel called Neuro Transmissions, where my neuroscientist wife and I dive into all sorts of brain-related topics. In my downtime, I enjoy playing video games, camping, and editing films (though most of my free time these days is spent chasing after my daughter). At the core of my work, my goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and supported. I believe therapy should be practical and collaborative, so you leave each session with tools and insights that help you navigate personal challenges and life’s obstacles. To me, mental health is just as important as physical health — whether it’s routine maintenance, addressing specific concerns, or ongoing support, therapy can help you feel better and live more fully. I’m excited that you’re considering therapy, and I look forward to working with you! ---I DO NOT CURRENTLY HAVE ANY OPENINGS--- However, if you would like to be added to my waitlist, fill out this webform and I can let you know about availability as it comes available: https://bit.ly/therapywaitlist
