Despite our best efforts to live authentically, we can lose our way while navigating stress, transition, trauma, loss, or conflict – or even just trying to figure out who we are and want to be. Many of my clients are exploring gender, sexuality, spirituality, and the impact of past experiences on their current identities. They have had doubts about their worth, perseverance, or ability to change outdated patterns or recover from past wounds. They questioned the possibility of connecting with others while simultaneously caring for their own well-being. They struggled with perfectionism, people pleasing, disconnection, reactivity or a lack of reciprocity. So when uncertainty and doubt leave you feeling torn, stuck, and discouraged; well, know you’re in good company. And therapy can help you learn to strengthen and maintain your hope, motivation, community and resources. Through experiential and attachment-based therapies including EMDR, I help transitional youth (15+) and adults navigate challenges, connect with resources, craft fulfilling relationships, release what isn’t working, build rituals for recovery, and restore clarity and joy. The Chilean author Isabel Allende writes, “we all have an unsuspected reserve of strength inside that emerges when life puts us to the test.” Whatever you are currently wrestling with, we will work together to envision a path for you to recognize and reclaim your own wisdom, perseverance, creativity and the confidence that you are truly enough.
