My hope with all clients I work with is that through our time together, we can reshape how you navigate through moments of suffering, build a healthier relationship with all parts of yourself, and increase the joy you experience in your life. I hold a undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminology from the University of Kentucky and a master’s in Clinical Social Work with a concentration in substance use counseling from the University of Georgia. I have over three years of experience working with substance use disorders, mental health, trauma, and relationship and sexual violence. My experience lies in residential and outpatient levels of care addressing substance use co-occurring disorders, trauma and interpersonal violence concerns. I also have experience working at the collegiate level as a counselor at a flagship university with young adults and college students experiencing a variety of life transitions. I specialize in topics such as anxiety PTSD, substance use/addiction, relationship and sexual violence, young adult concerns, and emotional dysregulation. I am gender/identity affirming and an ally to LGBTQIA(+) and recovery communities. I use a systemic lens when working with clients and advocate for anti-oppressive, inclusive mental health services.
