Introduction

As a counselor, I believe my role is to walk alongside you while creating a safe space in which you will feel heard and supported. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship with one another is fundamental to the therapeutic process. Together, we will establish your own unique strengths and goals through the development of tools using evidence-based practices (such as, but not limited to, CBT, DBT and EMDR) that will help equip you to confront life's challenges and to experience hope, freedom and empowerment through counseling. I provide individual counseling using a strength-based and person-centered approach. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, ADHD, relationship problems, difficulties surrounding self-esteem issues, grief, and life transitions. I have specialized training working with trauma and I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) used to treat Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Meeting with a counselor can be a bit uneasy, but I strive to meet each client where they are. We never stop learning and growing throughout life, and with counseling, it would be a privilege to walk along side you on this journey.
