Introduction

I have worked in community mental health, where I've worked with individuals experiencing Trauma, Bi-polar Disorder, Depression, Schizophrenia, PTSD and Anxiety. I also worked with clients in crisis, suffering with suicidal thoughts and self harm. I believe people experiencing any of these mental health issues need someone with experience, empathy, and patience. I got started when I did a practicum in 1997 at a Mental Health day treatment program. I found I enjoyed working with these populations and it helped me understand what a family member was experiencing.
