Introduction

Hello! My name is Melody, and I am a Marriage and Family Therapy Associate. I obtained my master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University, and I have additionally completed Levels 1 & 2 of the Gottman Method Couples Therapy training. Pursuing a career in therapy has always been my dream, fueled by my commitment to helping others navigate life's challenges. I believe that with the right tools and guidance, everyone has the potential to work through difficulties and reach their goals.   My theoretical approach is mainly influenced by principles from Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Bowenian Therapy, and attachment theory, and I'm inspired by the works of Russell Barkley and John and Julie Gottman. I have a strong desire to help those struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, communication, boundary-setting, life transitions, and mood disorders. I'm also eager to work with the Hispanic population, given my own cultural background. As we work together, I will create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where we can work collaboratively to explore your strengths, challenges, and patterns to gain a deeper understanding of your experiences. With this insight, we can create meaningful change and work towards a happier, healthier, and more fulfilling life. I'm honored to have the opportunity to help you on your journey toward healing and growth. I look forward to meeting you and working together toward a brighter future!
