Melody received her Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2009. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor for Registered Mental Health Interns with the State of Florida. She has a heart to help children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples overcome difficulty and to help them recover from emotional wounds. She specializes in the treatment of trauma, abuse, grief, depression, anxiety, adjustment to life changes, and family communication. She uses a diverse range of techniques specific to each client's individual needs to help them reach desired goals, such as Attachment Theory, Art Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Relational Therapies, Family Systems Therapy, Mindfulness Techniques, Trauma Focused Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, and Evidenced Based Practices. She and her husband have been happily married for 25 plus years and loves spending time with their adult son, daughter-in-law and grandchild. The love of her family fuels her desire to help other families that are struggling or going through difficult times. She loves animals and believes they are beloved members of families. Melody greatly relies on her faith while counseling others and is able to incorporate faith into therapy for those who are interested in a spiritual component in the therapy process.
