Introduction

My name is Melodie [pronouns: she/her] and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) who provides counseling services to individuals and groups. I have experience working with people from diverse populations (minorities, LGBTQI+), and my specialties include: gerontology, military mental health, and coping with chronic illnesses. I believe that all individuals should be empowered and inspired to improve their emotional wellbeing. By recognizing healthy coping strategies and processing emotions, I hope that we can work together to meet your mental health goals. Together, we will create an individualized treatment plan that will allow us to work towards your goals. I can incorporate therapeutic techniques such as: Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and strengths-based empowerment. If you're needing support with processing trauma, I also have background in addressing medical trauma, moral injury, combat-related PTSD, and other complex emotional traumas. I believe that it takes a lot of courage to work through your emotional complexities and as your counselor, I will be there to guide and support you.
