As a parent, it’s always difficult to see your children struggling. It takes courage to ask for help, and I am proud of you for taking the first step. If you’ve noticed that your child’s mood or behavior is impacting their relationship with you, with their friends, or teachers, child counseling and play therapy could be a great benefit for you and your child. I combine play therapy with art, mindfulness, EMDR, and sand tray therapy to help children understand their thoughts and feelings, increase emotional connection, learn better coping strategies, and identify and express their needs. I specialize in treating anxiety, self-esteem, grief, trauma, and highly sensitive children. Children can’t make big changes all by themselves. My approach includes the whole family, and I believe in supporting and encouraging healthy caregivers. Sometimes parents need to heal from their own experiences, so I am available to work with couples and adults who are struggling with separation, disconnection, or conflict in their relationships.
