Introduction

Melissa Smith, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) As a holistic mental health counselor, my desire is to accompany you in the therapeutic process by offering an environment that allows you to be yourself in a curious, judgment-free environment. It’s a courageous journey to begin counseling, and I am committed to providing an experience that offers personal agency, and instills hope. With an integrative somatic approach to therapy, I seek to meet your specific needs. You’ll experience ways to reconnect with a meaningful life, explore self-compassion, improve distress tolerance, and regain a sense of self-embodiment through research-based modalities. I'll work along side you in a trauma-informed way to alleviate symptoms associated with grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationships. Resolving the impact of your past experiences through embodied awareness, you to live more fully in the present. Working together toward recovery extends beyond expanding abilities to cope with distress. It is about instilling experiences of resilience, joy and pleasure that reduce or ultimately replace suffering and pain with wholeness and well-being. Specializing in adults ages over 18 virtually or in person. Schedule a free 10 minute consult to discuss your therapeutic goals. Self-pay with Superbill upon request.
