Melissa Osen, MSW, LCSW- OWNER Melissa Osen, MSW LCSW is a Clinical Master Level Social Worker and has been licensed in Idaho since 2007. She is the founder of A Chance 4 Change LLC, which offers a wide spectrum of services to the Mental Health and Legal Communities as well as to families and children who are struggling with divorce and conflict related issues. Melissa is an Idaho Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator and a Parent Coordinator. Melissa began her social work career in child protection where she worked for several years. During this time, she received the Regional Scott Johnson award for her coordination and development of ELEV8, an independent living skills programs that continues to assist youth who age out of the foster care system. In 2017 St. Luke’s Health System awarded her the prestigious Presidents Award in recognition for her strong and effective advocacy for patient care, while engaged as a social worker with Mountain States Tumor Institute. Now in full-time private practice, Melissa offers comprehensive mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families. She offers general therapeutic services including treatment for mood and behavior disorders, relationship breakdown, families in transition, grief and loss, and general life adjustment challenges. Melissa is trained in PCIT Parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT) is an evidence-based behavior parent training treatment for young children with emotional and behavioral disorders that places emphasis on improving the quality of the parent-child relationship and changing parent-child interaction patterns. Children and their caregivers are seen together in PCIT. PCIT is conducted through "coaching" sessions during which you and your child are in a playroom while the therapist is in an observation room watching you interact with your child through a one-way mirror and/or live video feed. Melissa earned her Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) certification through UMBC Emergency Health Services. This CISM certification allows Melissa to provide an integrated multi-component continuum of psychological interventions provided in the context of acute adversity, trauma, and disaster. Melissa is currently a member of the Governor's Task Force on Children at Risk (CARTF), a broadly representative organization established in 1988 by Governor Cecil Andrus. This task force is made up of 18 individuals who meet monthly to review concerns related to children at risk in Idaho. The task force members provide informed recommendations to the Governor of the State of Idaho regarding the full scope of issues related to child abuse and neglect. Melissa is also a member of Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC). AFCC is the premier interdisciplinary and international association of professionals dedicated to the resolution of family conflict. AFCC members are the leading practitioners, researchers, teachers, and policymakers in the family court arena. ZACH IVEY, MSW, LCSW Zach Ivey, MSW, LCSW was born in Nashville, TN, and spent most of his young life in Washington, Alaska, and then Idaho. He lives with his wife and two children in the Magic Valley and is pleased to stay local and give back into the community which his family appreciates so much. Zach has been licensed as a social worker in the state of Idaho since 2019. He has worked with young adults and adults in a variety of settings and roles. Zach is trained in ART.
