Introduction

Choosing to invest in yourself is always worth it. It's never too late or too early to seek support for living a balanced life. At Creatively Empowered Wellness, we help you to discover and unlock the potential that already exists within you to live the life you want to be living. I am Melissa Estes and I am committed to offering a creative and holistic approach to helping others live their most empowered lives and to heal from life transitions, life stressors, trauma, anxiety, eating disorders and negative belief systems. I am passionate about teaching others how to embrace the beauty of their authentic selves. My superpower is my calming nature and ability to listen between the words to help others gain perspective about themselves, improve self-confidence and to objectively identify possibilities for the future. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Board Certified Art Therapist and an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) trained clinician. I use a strengths-based, person-centered, trauma informed approach with an emphasis on cognitive-behavioral therapy to help individuals increase self-efficacy. Therapy often combines techniques such as relaxation through guided imagery, role-playing, art therapy and education about self-care. Some of my advanced training includes: EMDR, Intensive Trauma Therapy, DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), Meditation and Sand Tray Therapy. When I am not at the office, I am living my own version of a grounded, balanced and fulfilled life. I find my own joy and sense of peace when I am spending time in nature, traveling to experience other cultures, enjoying conversations with friends over food, working out, reading, kayaking, paddle boarding, cooking, creating art, snowboarding, and spending quality time with loved ones. I am a lifelong learner with a love of adventure and appreciation for the beauty of nature. I have a loving relationship with my husband, and I am a mom to my both my daughter and fur babies (long haired dachshund and two chinchillas).
