Melinda Stone is a bilingual, Spanish-speaking Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides psychotherapy through HIPAA-compliant video or phone (telehealth) to individuals located throughout California, aged 12-years-old and older. Melinda provides therapy addressing a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, trauma, PTSD, gender-transitioning, near-death and spiritually-transformative experiences, sexual abuse, intimate partner violence, high-demand religion- and cult-survival, polyamory, relationship conflict, elderhood, life transitions, chronic illness, social stressors (LGBTQIA2S+ discrimination, racism, immigration,) neurodiversity, and schizoaffective disorders. Melinda utilizes collaborative, trauma-informed, strength- and harm-reduction-based therapy approaches including a combination of cognitive-behavioral, somatic, and narrative-based strategies informed by elements of Internal Family Systems. Treatment will always be based upon your identified needs, goals and feedback. Melinda has provided therapy since 2017 through community medical centers and to formerly-incarcerated individuals and their families. From 1996 to 2017, Melinda provided residential and community-based case-management for individuals coping with incarceration, reentry, foster care and housing instability.
