Introduction

I'm so glad you found your way to my site. I'm a direct and compassionate counselor who focuses on building a safe, comfortable relationship with clients. I want you to feel at ease as we navigate challenging topics. Empathy, guidance and humor are all things I bring to sessions. My sweet spot is helping clients incorporate their faith into counseling sessions so our work aligns with your values and beliefs. I received my Bachelors Degree from Kansas State University in 1994 and a Master of Science from Emporia State University in 1996. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and also a Board Certified Art Therapist with over 25 years of experience in different areas of mental health and parenting education. My path to private practice has included years in family preservation, community mental health, public schools, non-profits and counseling group practice. Every experience has been invaluable. My own life experiences have been equally valuable and allowed me to grow in unexpected ways. I've been married to my husband for 32 years and have two adult sons. Outside of my practice you'll find me spending time with my family, nurturing plants, being creative and enjoying nature.
