Introduction
Melinda Porter, MA, LPC-S, CST-S, CNM is a licensed counselor in Frisco, Texas, and Colorado. Beginning their career in education, Melinda earned a bachelor’s degree in Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement before pursuing a master’s in Professional Counseling from Texas Wesleyan University. After 13 fulfilling years as an educator, they transitioned into counseling, founding Redefined Intimacy Therapy (formerly MCP Counseling) in 2014. Their practice provides a welcoming, non-judgmental space for individuals, couples, and CNM relationships. As an AASECT Certified Sex Therapy-Supervisor, Melinda helps clients navigate a wide range of sexuality concerns, including desire discrepancies, sexual identity, orgasm challenges, sexual pain, vaginismus, sexuality and chronic illness, and intimacy in polyamory. A trained EMDR therapist, Melinda supports clients in processing trauma and moving through stuck places at their own pace. Passionate about mentorship, they also supervise LPC-Associates in Texas and AASECT CST professionals worldwide, bringing their background as an educator into their work.
