I am an EMDR Certified Therapist and utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which is a form of therapy shown to reduce a variety of issues such as post-traumatic stress injury, anxiety, and depression. I am a HeartMath Trauma-Sensitive Certified Practitioner and utilize HeartMath technology to assist first responders improve heart rate coherence. This method increases one's ability to self-regulate the quality of feeling and emotion of one’s moment-to-moment experience influences our physiology and the reciprocal interactions between physiological, cognitive, and emotional systems. I am certified to facilitate the Acute Stress Adaptive Protocol (ASAP) which is both a group and individual intervention that can be utilized just three days after a critical incident. The ASAP is a safe, effective, efficient, early intervention that offers stabilization and resource-building techniques to enhance self-regulation.
