Hi! I'm Melandi Murrell, owner and lead counselor of Happy Balanced You Counseling & Consulting, LLC. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor, and currently in the process of obtaining my LPC-Supervisor licensure. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) with the NBCC and a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP). I have over 10+ years of experience in working with individuals and families assisting them with achieving their goals and successfully navigating a wide variety of life challenges and transitions. I specialize in working with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, stress, and other challenges. We will begin by exploring your presenting concerns first so that we can get to the essence of the issue, process your thoughts and feelings constructively, and then join forces to develop wellness goals and an effective roadmap for success to achieve them. I use a strengths-based approach in my practice because anxious, depressive, and stressful thoughts will often try to overshadow the valuable strengths you possess and I want to continue to highlight them and bring them back to the forefront. I also often utilize cognitive behavioral therapy so we can begin to turn the volume down on those harmful thoughts and replace them with supportive ones. At HBY, my goal is to journey alongside you and collaborate with you on developing approaches that help you ease some of that load and reestablish a sense of calm and balance.
