Introduction

I am a seasoned and highly qualified psychiatrist re-entering private practice here to help. I provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, psychotherapy and/or medication management to adults. I understand the greatest needs for the mental health of our community are high-quality diagnostic assessments and medication management. If you already have a psychotherapist but feel it is time to consider medications, I am here to help and will collaborate with your psychotherapist, with your permission. If you do not already have a psychotherapist, I am here to help you figure out your needs, whether it is a brief intervention, a short course of medication to get you back on track, or a longer-term treatment course. I do provide second opinion consultations, as well as clinical supervision. I received both my Bachelor's and Medical degrees from Brown University. I completed general adult residency training at Northwestern University in 2002. I started my career as a faculty member at UCSF but left due to personal circumstances. In addition to a prior full-time private practice, I have experience working in community mental health centers, Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES), college mental health, and correctional facilities.
