Does experiencing love and acceptance in life often feel like an achievement—something you have to earn? and when you do, do you struggle to feel worthy of it? Putting energy into being the perfect student, a good child, the ideal partner, or an exceptional employee can be exhausting and disconnect us from our true self. This motivation for achievement, control, and perfection may feel like the only way you can become worthy of love and acceptance, but I promise you it is not. Healing requires we accept that change, though inevitable, is rarely within our control. You can let go of control. You don't need it. You can thrive in the uncertainty of life, and let go of the pursuit of "perfect." It's a scary process, but you are worth it. Change is not a comfortable process because it pushes us to be vulnerable, authentic, and radically honest with ourselves. Once you embrace this process, though, there is a joyous experience in self-liberation! If you'd like to address barriers to self-acceptance, or find yourself struggling with body image, depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, or disordered eating, I hope to see you in my office. I practice trauma informed care and treatment from an individualized and holistic approach, guiding you toward recovery and healing. I believe the true you is worth fighting for.
