My role is to be a compassionate, non judgmental witness who guides individuals and families towards deeper authenticity and peace. I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders and am passionate about helping people obtain full recoveries. Eating disorders often occur in tandem with other challenges; I am also skilled in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, and supporting caregivers and parents as they support their loved one's healing. A social justice perspective informs my work; I practice cultural humility and approach my clients with curiosity and respect for their experiences and worldview. I utilize evidence-based treatments such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as a psychodynamic approach in my work with clients. I am trained in Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), a modality that helps parents and caregivers support their loved ones recovery from an eating disorder or mental illness with confidence. My experience working in higher level of care eating disorder treatment (residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient) for adults and adolescents helps inform my services. I am currently training in Family Based Therapy (FBT) and look forward to offering FBT to families soon. Food is a path to everything- how we feel about love, meaning and safety is all expressed through our relationship with food. A collaborative exploration can uncover and heal deep pain while nourishing self esteem and self trust. I am honored to be a part of assisting people in developing lives filled with authenticity and connection.
