Hi, I'm Megan! Population I am a Licensed Psychologist and Owner/Founder of Kaleidoscope Psychotherapy, LLC, a private practice in Lawrence, KS which serves children, adolescents, and their families. My specialty is providing therapeutic services for children ages 2-12 impacted by traumatic experiences and attachment ruptures. However, I find enjoyment working with youth across a broad range of ages and presenting concerns. Approach I am guided by an overarching person-centered, strengths-based, ecological systems framework. In my work with youth, I often utilize child-centered play therapy, Jungian sand play, and TF-CBT approaches. When providing parenting support, I typically incorporate behavioral principles and attachment work. I am a certified PCIT therapist and provide PCIT via televideo (Kansas residents only). Otherwise, sessions are primarily face-to-face with the option of televideo when needed & developmentally appropriate. Education & Training: I was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, and I completed my undergraduate education at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. For graduate school, I attended the University of Indianapolis where I earned my Master of Arts in Psychology and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology degrees. During 2020, I completed my doctoral internship at Family Service and Guidance Center (FSGC) in Topeka. Upon completion, I continued working full-time in community mental health settings across school-based and outpatient therapy departments. In November 2024, I transitioned to full-time private practice. I also continue to work at FSGC as an on-call crisis therapist.
