I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board for Certified Counselors and Associates/NBCC Certification and Credentialing, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) through Evergreen Certifications and have completed The Trauma Research Foundation's certificate program in traumatic stress studies. I have practiced as a child and family therapist, a trauma therapist and clinical director of a trauma crisis center. I have experience providing expert witness testimony in courts regarding mental health, various forms of abuse and human and child development. I have worked as a substance use and addictions counselor, a victim advocate and have volunteered as a Guardian Ad Litem. I currently volunteer for my local regional Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) team and hold a position on the board, providing support to local residents and first responders. Throughout my experience I have expanded my specialties and strengthened a variety of approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), emotion coaching, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Circle of Security Parenting Training (COS-P), Gottman Method, play therapy, sand tray therapy, art therapy and supportive talk therapy, along with other approaches of therapy.
