Introduction

Hi! I'm a licensed clinical social worker with experience working in schools, outpatient, crisis response, and both group and individual counseling. I earned my Masters in Social Work at the University of St. Thomas/St. Catherine University joint master's program in St.Paul, MN, where I grew up and lived for most of my life. I offer individual therapy to ages 12 and up to help navigate life stressors, as well as learn how to manage anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and past trauma. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I take pride in my identity and greatly enjoy working with clients who are allies and members of the LGBTQ+ community, and love working with clients who are still exploring their own identities, coming out, or struggling with gender/sexuality concerns. When I'm away from the therapist chair, I enjoy biking, beach-combing, photography, scary movies, art, organization, and spending time with my family, friends, and 5 pets. I consider myself a down-to-earth therapist, and believe that in order to help you explore and accept all the genuine and authentic parts of yourself, it is important for me to also bring my own authentic self to the table. How "successful" therapy feels for an individual relies not only on the skill of the therapist, but also on the strength of the client-therapist relationship. In other words: not every therapist is a good fit for every person. I offer a free 15-minute consultation phone call or video chat if you are interested in connecting to find out more about what therapy with me might look like! If you are finding that you are feeling stuck, feeling hopeless, or just feeling alone - I invite you to reach out and see how therapy might be helpful to you. INSURANCE: I have partnered with Headway to provide counseling services that can be billed through selected insurance plans. Current coverage options within New Jersey include: Aetna, Cigna/Evernorth, Optum/United Healthcare, Oscar Health, Oxford, Horizons BCBS.
